Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Austria and Permanent Representative to the UN office and other International Organizations in Vienna

Ambassador M.R.K. Lenagala assumed office at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vienna on 2^nd October 2023.  The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vienna is concurrently accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czechia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. 

As a career diplomat with over 27 years of experience, he has served at Sri Lanka Missions in New York, London, and New Delhi.  At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Colombo he has held in several positions, including as the Director General at the Political Affairs (West) Division and the UN & Human Rights Division.

He was Additional Secretary (Multilateral Affairs) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Colombo prior to his appointment to the present post in Vienna.
