Sri Lanka together with several other countries participated in the United Nations International Charity Luncheon organized by the United Nations Women’s Guild Vienna (UNWG) on 22 September 2022.
The Luncheon was held at Vienna International Center, Vienna with the participation of around 22 Embassies and Permanent Missions based in Vienna.
A large crowd attended the fund-raising Luncheon which was organized to raise funds for the Children’s Charity Program 2023 of the United Nations. Established in 1967, the UNWG assists children in need and mother-childcare programmes across the world.
The Luncheon gave Sri Lanka an opportunity to promote the destination, cuisine and Ceylon Tea.
