On the sidelines of commemoration of the 75th National Independence Day of Sri Lanka, the Embassy launched Ceylon Tea by Stassen at the famous tea house Haas & Haas in Vienna.
Officials from the Austrian government, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives based in Vienna, members of the Tea Association in Vienna/ Austria, print and electronic media and customers attended the Stassen Tea launch at the premises of the Hass & Haas tea house in Stephansplatz, in the very heart of Vienna on 14 February 2023.
The family-owned Haas & Haas colonial tea house offers an extensive selection of fragrant teas from around the world. Mrs. Eva Haas and her family visited Sri Lanka a quarter century ago and spent a most memorable time at the Kirkoswald Estate at the invitation of Stassen Group. The visit paved the way to promoting by the famous Stassen tea in Austria.
The ceremony also featured the rhythm and dance of the world renowned Channa-Upuli dance troupe while traditional finger food was served, creating a truly Sri Lankan ambiance.
