Sri Lanka Strengthens Evidence-Based Action Against Human Trafficking at UN Meeting in Vienna, Austria

Sri Lanka reaffirmed its commitment to combating human trafficking through a victim-centered and evidence-based approach at the 15th United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Working Group on Trafficking in Persons, held from October 6–7, 2025, at the Vienna International Centre in Vienna, Austria.

Lieutenant Colonel Udaya Jayaratne, representing the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force Sri Lanka, participated in the high-level meeting and emphasized Sri Lanka’s ongoing efforts to implement and advance its National Strategic Action Plan (2026–2030)
