The Embassy and Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in Vienna, Austria offered Heel Danaya to 7 members of the Maha Sangha at the Embassy premises in parallel to the annual Katina Ceremony of the Austrian Dhamma-Zentrum Nyanaponika in Vienna on 26th October 2024. Since 1995 the Mission has been participating in the ceremony annually.
The religious observances were performed by Ven. Dr. Wijayarajapura Seelawansa Thero, the founder and chief incumbent of the Austrian Dhamma-Zentrum Nyanaponika in Vienna.
Venerable Maha Sangha invoked special blessings on Sri Lanka, its people and the staff of the Embassy.
