Power of Attorney / Affidavit

When a Sri Lankan national requires either an Affidavit or a Power of Attorney for the purpose of submitting to a Court of Law in Sri Lanka or any other legal institution, the applicant should obtain an Affidavit / Power of Attorney from a lawyer in Sri Lanka and produce it to the Embassy along with the required number of witnesses and the following documents.

  • Applicant’s valid Sri Lankan Passport and Visa
  • Witnesses’ valid Sri Lankan Passport and Visa

The applicant and witnesses should sign the Affidavit/Power of Attorney in the presence of an authorized officer at the Embassy.
