Renewal of Driving Licence

Required documents:

Duly filled MTA30/2 Offline application (original) – see Downloads
Please complete the application using a black colour pen. Fingerprint and signature has to be placed in front of the authorized officer at the Sri Lankan Embassy.
Current Driving Licence issued by Department of Motor Traffic, Sri Lanka
Medical Certificate (from respective country)
Valid Passport and copy of the data page of the Passport
National Identity Card (N.IC.) (it’s not mandatory if the N.I.C. number is mentioned in the Passport)
Two black and white passport size photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm)

English translation should be produced for all the documents issued in other than Sinhala, Tamil or English.

(If the License is already expired an additional €10 will be charged per year)

Copy of complaint made to the police station if the driving licence is lost. In case the current driving licence is deformed or blurred, please submit the same.
